Are we living in a literal “The City On The Edge of Forever”. “The City On The Edge of Forever” is an episode from the Original Star Trek Series, and is considered one of the most thought-provoking cinematic storytelling in TV history. In this episode, The Enterprise picks up waves of time displacement millions of miles away and they investigate. Dr. Leonard McCoy played by DeForest Kelley, accidentally injects himself with an overdose of medicine and goes into a wild hysteria and beams himself down to the planet where there is an ancient Time portal. Kirk and Spock go after him. McCoy jumps through the Time Portal and goes back in time to the Great Depression era of old Earth and changes history. The Enterprise and the Federation are no longer there because Dr. McCoy changed History. Kirk and Spock go back in time to stop whatever damage that Dr. McCoy did that changed history. Kirk and Spock end up in the 1930’s and find out that a woman named Edith Keeler played by Joan Collins is the key to setting time back to its original form. Edith Keeler is a visionary, she sees things that will happen in the future long before they will ever happen. She is supposed to die in a car accident, but McCoy saves her from dying as she was supposed to, and all of Earth’s history is changed. With her brilliant, peaceful insight, she lives and becomes famous and delays the United States from entering into WW II, and Germany develops the Atom bomb first and wins the War and all history is changed. Kirk and Spock now know that they must stop Dr. McCoy from saving the life of Edith Keeler, so that she will die in that accident as she originally was supposed to, to set history back in order. The Show ends with Kirk, who has fallen in Love with Edith Keeler, has to stop Dr. McCoy from jumping into traffic to save Edith Keeler’s life and allow her to be hit by a car and die to set history back in order. What makes this episode, so special is, that it opens up all the possibilities of why certain people don’t live out their lives, that they die at an earlier age, so that history will move on the course that God has planned for it. Think, what if John F. Kennedy had lived longer, where would we be now? Or what if Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would have lived, where would we be? Or how about Bobby Kennedy, what if he had lived longer, where would we be now? The question is, are their deaths a part of God’s overall plan that they would die at that moment in history so that the world would continue on in the time frame according to God’s plan for our history? If they had lived, would they have pushed us so far ahead of God’s timetable that more lives would have been lost if they had lived? Think about it for a moment? God has already counted the days of which we are to make our mark on this life, and if we go beyond that time frame, we may mess things up, and knock what God has planned for history to continue on in its rightful designated path. Think of this for a moment? Donald Trump’s Dad paid a Doctor to give him five diagnoses for bone spurs in his feet, so that he couldn’t go to Vietnam. Donald Trump falsely got five deferments, so that he couldn’t go to Vietnam. That means the United States Government tried to draft Donald J. Trump five times, and five times, Donald Trump’s dad paid a Doctor to falsely write him a report that Donald J. Trump had bone spurs, so he couldn’t get drafted to go fight in Vietnam. What if it was originally God’s plan that Donald Trump would go to Vietnam, and he was supposed to die in Vietnam? In the Bible 2 Kings 20, God told Hezekiah to get his house in order that he was going to die, and Hezekiah petitioned the Lord to allow him to live longer. The Lord heard and granted Hezekiah 15 more years, but God originally wanted Hezekiah to come home to be with the Lord, Hezekiah was a good king, but Hezekiah got 15 years added to his life, and in those 15 years Hezekiah had two of the wickedest sons in Israel’s history. God knew that Hezekiah was going to have those wicked sons and calling Hezekiah home was God’s way of diverting this from ever happening. So by reading this, we can see that we can Change God’s heart, even though it is best that we not continue longer than God has planned for us to live on. Fred Trump, Donald Trump’s Dad may have diverted the will of God by paying off that Doctor to write Medical reports that Donald Trump couldn’t serve in Vietnam as he was supposed to. If Donald Trump had served in Vietnam, maybe he would have died, maybe not, but one thing for sure, he wouldn’t be the self-centered, narcissistic, megalomaniac that he is. This is what can happen when you fight against God’s plans for history. Just food for thought.
